GARDEN LOVERS

Virpi Suutari
FI 2014    52' 72'
⚬ Human Interest

Synopsis

The film peeks behind the pretty facades of middle class life as the protagonists tell their stories about relationships, love and disappointment. The scenes of action are their gardens, which offer an unorthodox point of view to the hopes and anxieties people have in our society. GARDEN LOVERS looks behind the hedge of couples who have a passion for gardening. The humorous film is a declaration of love to beauty and healing power of their gardens. Beautiful and magical pictures flow into their relationships, conflicts and joys. The garden depicts the many ways in which life can flourish; it gives strength and unites, but it also becomes a meeting place for farewells.
