Asmae El Moudir is a Moroccan film director, screenwriter and producer who studied at La Femis in Paris. She has directed several award-winning short films. The Mother of All Lies, her first theatrical documentary feature, premiered at the 2023 Cannes Film Festival, winning the Un Certain Regard Directing Prize as well as the Golden Eye for Best Documentary. The film was also shortlisted in the International Feature section of the Oscars 2024 and screened at TlFF and Sundance.
