Patrick Catuz is a filmmaker who lives in Vienna, Austria in Europe. He studied media and communication and is currently working on his PhD at the University for applied Arts in Vienna. The son of a polish refugee, Patrick dedicates his work to political subjects, such as Critical Masculinity, Feminist Porn, Racism and the Refugee Crisis. In 2015 his clip “99 problems but a refugee is none” received national attention and the non-commercial clip reached number 2 in the national Indie-Charts. He has produced several documentary shorts, such as his project “You are ok as you are” on the topics of the high suicide rate of LGBTQI+ youth and his film “Returning to a new life”, which focused on formerly radicalized young people from central Europe who joined ISIS in their teens and must now build a new life after returning from Syria.
