Narrated by Colin Farrell, this is the incredible story of Simon Fitzmaurice, a young Irish filmmaker who, despite a diagnosis of Motor Neuron Disease, goes on to direct an award-winning feature film solely through the use of his eyes. The documentary is a celebration of Simon’s love of film, of creating art and of telling beautiful human stories no matter the obstacle. His artistic supporter, Colin Farrell, beautifully narrates this life-affirming story which is based on Simon’s book also titled It’s Not Yet Dark.

Frankie Fenton is an award winning Irish Film and TV Director/Producer specialising in documentary film to do with pressing social matters. He is a former graduate of Dublin City University accomplishing a Masters in Film and Television Studies. Directing credits include THE GOOD REACTOR (working title, release date TBA) an environmental feature documentary about controversial ways to solve the coming global energy crisis. Frankie has spent many years working in the post production sector of UK television before moving to independent directing professionally. Although documentary film has been his primary focus Frankie has also trained and qualified as a professional artisan baker during his time in London.
