Red Forest Hotel

  • Against the backdrop of emerging green politics in China, the film tells an explosive story about the problems that Finnish state-owned forestry company Stora Enso's tree plantations and paper mill have caused to people and the environment in Southern China.
    The main character in Red Forest Hotel, lawyer Yang Zaixin, has been under arrest with false charges for an alarming 15 months.
