this just in: Untitled won Best Documentary @ Beldocs Film Festival!!

here's what the jury thinks:
"Because of its singular approach to the art of documentary, the masterful way that it brings together seemingly inharmonious fragments of the world, its curious gaze at the life which is usually hidden, its respect for the people in front of the camera and its high aesthetic treatment of film language, cinematography and editing the jury has unanimously agreed that the award for Best Documentary in the International Competition at Beldocs 2017 is given to UNTITLED by Michael Glawogger and Monika Willi."

congrat the whole team!

Don't miss the gripping story of Formula One Star Tommy Byrne
TODAY - SUNDAY 12/02 - 14.30 - CINEMAXX 11

Crash and Burn
(Seán Ó Cualáin | IR UK 2016 | 81’)
For a fleeting moment in the early 80s Tommy Byrne was the world’s greatest driver, the motor racing equivalent of George Best and Muhammad Ali all rolled into one. In a little over four years Byrne went from driving a Mini Cooper in stockcar racing to the big-time in Formula One. Eddie Jordan will tell you: ‘Forget Schuey and Senna. Tommy Byrne was the best of them all.’ His rise was meteoric and his fall spectacular.

"Gripping" 4 stars ****The Guardian
"Compelling", 4 stars **** Daily Express
"Puts vivid flesh on the story's bones" **** The Arts Desk
"Fascinating", 4 stars **** The Upcoming
"A great yarn. A great education." **** The Irish Times

This very moment Machines is playing at the EFM at CineStar 7, coming straight from Sundance with great reviews:

“a true find”,”hypnotic and horrifying” The Rolling Stone

What outwardly seems like the most prosaic of titles turns out to be bristling with angry human-rights subtext in “Machines,” first-time helmer Rahul Jain’s gliding, quietly mesmerising documentary portrait of working rituals and conditions at a textile factory in the Gujarat state of western India. Variety

“an all-too-rare combination of artistic vision and social conscience”, “eye-opening and austerely uncompromising” The Hollywood Reporter

“Machines ultimately develops into a plaintive eye-opener that confronts difficult questions without providing easy answers.” Screen Daily
